Debra Slonim, Art Instructor and Owner

Debra Slonim has always been intrigued, by fine art since before she can even remember. Through elementary she was drawn in by Meet the Masters, at ten her grandma taught her oil painting and then in high school she was consumed in making the perfect portrait. She then took classes at Orange Coast Community College where she began to build her portfolio. Then she transferred to Cal State Channel Islands where she traveled abroad with the art department and after started the CI Art Club. She graduated from CSUCI in 2013 with a BA in studio arts, with an emphasis’ in painting and sculpture.  After college she started working for a wine and painting studio, where her vivacious personality and love for fine arts /wine and beer was able to come out in a playful way. Two years, and many painting parties later she decided to go into business and start a mobile studio of her own. Pop Up Studios is her  business that started in Oct. 2015, which is a traveling studio with  step by step painting, sculpture and specialty craft classes which can be taught in your home, venue, or office location. There is a growing painting library of options along with custom paintings made for your party. This is a fun Non- Judgmental environment where you are free to express yourself creatively, and HAVE AN AMAZING TIME!


Adolph Soliz Jr. , Art Instructor

Adolph Soliz comes from a small Indian reservation in Scottsdale Arizona where he grew up with a great interest in art, more specifically, animation. By the age of seven he knew that he wanted to someday be an animator. And since that time he has been pursuing that dream and many others. Adolph graduated with a BFA in character animation from the Laguna College of Art and Design where he was taught by some of the animation industries best. Adolph has also done freelance work such as, creating logos, character designs, and even received the opportunity to create new art work for Disney. Over the years, along with pursuing a career in animation, Adolph has shared his knowledge with those younger at community events, the Laguna Beach Sawdust Art Festival and now with OC Art studios. Adolph hopes to inspire and encourage others, like his teachers did for him.


Gwyneth, Artist Instructor

Gwyneth grew up on the central cost of California and began painting with acrylic paints around the age of ten. She enjoys creating landscape and still life paintings.  Her career in painting began as a scenic painter for the Pacific Conservatory of Performing Arts in Santa Maria. After that she worked as an artist for a mobile paining company in the wine country around Santa Maria. Gwyneth is now attending school at Cal State Fullerton where she is earning her degree in General Studio Art. 


Kaleen Repsher, Art Assistant

Kaleen has been creating since she was a child, sketching and painting  primarily. As an adult she has an amazing family, which inspires her to paint beautiful portraits. Her greatest influences as a young artist were Vincent Van Gogh and Pablo Picasso. She really enjoys surrealism and abstract work like Jackson Pollock. She strives to continue making art for the rest of her life.
